13.09.08 - Northern Counties Cat Club
It was a new venue for the Northern Counties this year, with great light and plenty of space for RACCS cats to show themselves off - which they did in style!
There were eight Russian Blues and seven Abyssinians who between them won every certificate for which they were eligible. One judge was moved to comment on the result slip for the neuter imperial "Two super boys" - which they were! Three RACCS cats enjoyed 'red card' days, the Usual Abyssinian adult Champion Saladin Softngentle, the blue Abyssinian kitten Glendavan Callista and the Blue Abyssinian neuter Grand Premier Abyglet Astarlet.
Yet again, it was a day for the blue cats with Champion Sithee Buttercup Joe winning his third certificate and title and UK & Imperial Grand Premier Shoelina Zelensky winning his fifth imperial and title. Zelensky has now now been added to our gallery of Imperial titled cats. It was a great day for Zelensky who at the age of 8 went on to win Best Foreign Neuter and Best Foreign Exhibit. We can't forget his sister UK & Imperial Grand Champion Shoelina Minkus who, as well as winning another Imperial certificate, went on to win Best Foreign Adult.
