30.05.09 - Durham County Cat Club

There were eight Russian Blues and five Abyssinians entered today at the Durham show. As we have come to expect at this show it was a scorching hot day, but this didn't seem to affect any of our RACCS cats, who were all in sparkling good moods. Because of the weather the show manager very kindly closed the show early as well - a much-appreciated positive end to a lovely show.

Special congratulations are due to our new title-holders, Grand Champion Dushenka Sophia Bella (16a) and Champion Melkelter Rupert Bear (16a). Congratulations also to Champion Dushenka Xander (16a) who enjoyed a red card day, winning first prize in all his classes.

However, the RACCS cat of the day has to be the Blue Abyssinian kitten, Nishalka Khepri (23c), affectionately known as Ringo, on winning his open and Best of Breed and Best Foreign Kitten in Show. Well done to you and all our winners!
